Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch says a multi-agency drug operation has led to dozens of arrests and major drug seizures along the Gulf Coast and Pine Belt.

‘Operation Liberty Strike,’ carried out over four days in Harrison and Lamar counties, resulted in 28 felony arrests and 12 misdemeanor arrests.

Investigators also executed six search warrants, seizing about a half-pound of fentanyl, 12 ounces of methamphetamine, a pound and a half of marijuana, and eight firearms.

The operation was led by the attorney general’s fentanyl strike force with assistance from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies including Biloxi and Picayune police as well as the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
