Harrison County home destroyed by fire

A family of three is safe thanks to their alarm after an early morning fire destroyed their home on County Farm Road.
According to Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan, the family was able to escape their burning house before 4 a.m., but their pet dog did not survive.
Chief Sullivan says the home was completely destroyed. Units from Harrison County, Lizana Fire Department, Long Beach and the CRTC all responded.
The fire was under control in 15-20 minutes, but firemen stayed on scene for a couple of hours. The cause is under investigation.
