Governor Phil Bryant discusses Gordon
This morning, Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant was at the Harrison County Emergency Management Agency to give a full run down of how the Coast and the state handled Tropical Storm Gordon.
He says preparation for any storm is vital for residents’ safety. For the past two days, emergency managers, first responders, and local officials have met to discuss a plan to make sure every aspect of safety was in place. “We must do this. People cannot become complacent even in the best conditions. Danger still exists and they must realize that. So, we will be back every time we have a tropical storm and every time we believe the conditions are such that we believe are life-threatening or threatening our property. We will be back down here time and time again,” said Governor Bryant.
