Community members serving meals
If you are in need of winter clothing or looking for ways to fellowship and be thankful this year, Ambassadors for Christ invites you to their Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Gaston Point.
This free event is open to the public and organizers will give away clothes, serve Thanksgiving meals, and host a prayer service on Genevieve Drive and 15th Street in the Gaston Point community.
Event organizer Earl Bankston tells News 25 he’s forever grateful to be able to give back during the holidays. “It means everything in the world to me. The scripture reads ‘it is better to give than receive.’ I feel like I’m doing my father’s work in Heaven. I’ve been doing this for five or six years out here giving. It just means everything in the world to me to help somebody who has less than what I have.”
