Celebrating the life of St. Martin’s Joe Barlow

Yesterday, the namesake of St. Martin’s football stadium and annual basketball invitational Joe Barlow passed away at the age of 86.

He was the superintendent for St. Martin schools from 1977 to 1993 and was instrumental in the building of a new high school and other academic buildings.

Barlow was also important in the construction of new baseball, football, and track and field facilities for the Yellowjackets and was the first recipient of the ‘Our St. Martin Spirit Award.’

A friend to all and will be dearly missed.
