09/21 Ryan’s “Last Day of Summer” Monday Morning Forecast

It's the last full day of summer, so we're starting fall on the warm side though it does cool down later this week.

Today is the last full day of summer with fall beginning tomorrow evening just before sunset. It will feel appropriately summery today as highs climb above-normal up to 93° with muggy air that’ll lead to a heat index of around 103° at its peak. Interestingly, it gets a little hotter over the next few days as fall begins, warming as high as 94 degrees by Wednesday before we’ll see slightly cooler, drier air begin to work its way in. That’ll be due to a fairly weak cold front back-dooring its way in from the northeast, clearing out our chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms and bringing highs down into the upper 80s. Mornings will see some 60s popping up inland, though the coast will stay near 70 through the weekend.
