06/23 Ryan’s “Summertime Weather” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Expect more summertime weather today...hot and humid with a few more afternoon showers.

We are firmly in a summertime pattern with hot and humid, generally dry days with at least a few afternoon showers undoubtedly popping up…particularly over the next couple of days. That’s due to a weak, unraveling front sliding into the area for tonight and tomorrow, slightly increasing our low rainfall chances of the next few days. Still, it isn’t looking consequential or problematic in terms of rain like we saw last week, largely only popping up in the afternoon and raining themselves out quickly. That means there will be a few areas with locally higher totals, but most of South MS won’t see much.

For today, expect partly cloudy skies with a high near 91, which will feel more like between 100-104° with our high humidity and light winds. Not quite Heat Advisory level, but close enough with long-term exposure. Stay hydrated and seek shade whenever possible.
