7/12 – Rob Knight’s Wednesday Morning Forecast

As an area of high-pressure meanders along the Ga/Fl area, moisture flow will continue from the Gulf of mexico into the weekend. Expect the typical Summertime pattern of overnight activity over water…daytime t-storms on shore, with hot and humid to continue. Heading into the weekend, the remnants of TD #4 from the main Atlantic basin will move across the central GOM and provide for elevated rain potential.

Depending on the exact path of this entity, HEAVY RAINFALL could be in the area Saturday into Monday before the atmosphere begins to dry out. Just a slight deviation of this wave could make a huge difference in rainfall potential. We will have a better handle on this by Thursday…
