7/20 – Jeff Vorick’s “Very Hot & Humid” Thursday Evening Forecast
A Heat Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM. Heat index values will remain very uncomfortable into the night as humidity is elevated. Some clouds around early will thin somewhat overnight. Temperatures will struggle to drop below 80 degrees for a lot of us.
Friday will be yet another very hot day. Heat alerts will be in effect again so be sure to take extra care if you need to be outdoors. Partly cloudy skies will be present at times but temperatures well into the 90s will feel like over 110 degrees at times. A very stray shower can’t be ruled out but rain chances will be less than 20%.
Things change into this weekend as the storm track sags south. Thunderstorm chances will become elevated the second half of Saturday and rain chances will be around Sunday. Some thunderstorms could bring strong winds and very heavy rainfall. Frequent lightning will be present so when thunder roars, go indoors.
