6/15 – Jeff Vorick’s “Isolated Thunderstorms Possible” Thursday Evening Forecast
Isolated thunderstorms are possible this evening due to the favorable environment. There is the potential for a strong thunderstorm or two as well. Other than rain chances, it will be a warm and humid one overnight with southwest winds continuing.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 AM until 7 PM for Friday. Heat indices will be in the 105-110 degree range. Rain chances are also in the picture with the potential for strong thunderstorms on the table again. In addition to afternoon pop-up thunderstorms, a thunderstorm complex may clip the area in the morning.
This pattern will remain into the weekend. Heat alerts will likely be necessary Saturday and Sunday with not much change expected until next week. Batches of energy could provide for complexes of thunderstorms to work through our area. The pattern will look to change next week with the storm track sliding northward, at least for the first portion of the week.
