5/31 – Jeff Vorick’s “Scattered Rain” Wednesday Evening Forecast

Warm temperatures, increasing humidity, and scattered rain will be in the picture heading into this evening. Cloud coverage will remain dominant for the next day or so as a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico will be nearby. Expect mild temperatures for the start of your Thursday. Rain chances will be more elevated during the day tomorrow.

The disturbance in the Gulf has a 20% chance of developing into a tropical system over the next couple of days. It will track east/northeast towards Florida. It will aid in increasing rain chances and providing for breezy conditions tomorrow. Daytime heating will help to maximize rain coverage.

Conditions will improve for South Mississippi late this week into the weekend. More sunshine and hotter temperatures will be around. Isolated rain chances can be expected for Friday and Saturday. Overall, the weekend should be nice with the standard isolated showers/thunderstorms.
