07/09 Ryan’s “Much Drier” Thursday Evening Forecast
Much drier today in South MS as drier upper level air is limiting rain chances. Clouds are fewer and more far between as well, so expect a mild, calm, and mostly clear evening near 76 degrees. The drier weather sticks around through the weekend, allowing for a steady increase in temperatures. Expect tomorrow afternoon to rise to 93 under mostly sunny skies, but it will feel closer to 105.
The heat index climbs further Saturday and Sunday into “Heat Advisory” territory, so remember to protect yourself from exposure.
Stay hydrated, seek shady shelter, and take frequent breaks if outdoors for even a short amount of time. By Monday though things will begin to cool off. Upper-level moisture increases to the point afternoon showers become more likely, allowing for rain-cooling. This will bring highs down a few degrees, into the low 90s again, but does nothing about the humidity.
