9/28 – Rob’s “Midday News” Afternoon Forecast

After a  humid start to the day, temperatures will continue to warm into the upper 80s/90 degrees this afternoon.

A weak cold front will move thorough the area this evening, with minimal activity associated with the boundary if anything at all. A second front will move into the area and then east by Saturday morning. This will bring a reinforcing shot of DRIER air to the region. A weak trough of low-pressure will move west across the GOM Sunday into Monday…this will bring rain potential to the region into early next week.

Models suggest some kind of tropical development through the weekend into next week of the W’tern Caribbean…we will continue to focus our attention on this area…
