9/6 – Jeff’s “Thunderstorm Chances Tomorrow” Wednesday Night Forecast
Warm and humid conditions will remain in place overnight. Some mid-to-upper level clouds will pass through the area tonight but they will not be a factor for rain chances. Cloud cover will clear out by daybreak. A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 AM until 7 PM Thursday due to humidity and hotter conditions making it feel like 105 – 110 degrees.
Your Thursday will start off sunny with southerly winds increasing. A cold front will be approaching our area from the northwest. It will help trigger shower and thunderstorm chances tomorrow afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms will bring frequent lightning and isolated pockets of heavy rain.
The cool front will gradually move through our region through Friday. Much milder humidity and some overnight cooling of temperatures will be in place for the weekend. It will feel nice outside at times. There will be 20% or so chances of showers Friday and Saturday.
In the tropics, Lee continues to push west-northwestward as a minimal hurricane. It is forecast to intensify into a major hurricane by this weekend as it scoots north of the Caribbean. The National Hurricane Center’s cone of uncertainty and all model guidance suggest a northward turn east of Florida and the Bahamas.
