9/3 – Rob’s “Tropical Watch” Afternoon Forecast

TD #7 was upgraded to TROPICAL STORM GORDON earlier this morning.

The current track takes it to he NW making landfall in or very close to the area Tuesday evening/night as a TROPICAL STORM. A storm surge inundation in the 2-4 foot range is still expected in the watch area, with as much as 3-5 inch of rainfall, but feel some banding of higher amounts to 6 inches are in play. Winds will also gust in to the 40/50 mph range. Temperatures should be held down a bit due to increasing cloud cover, in the mid to upper 80s, with lows running the usual mid-70s to lower 80s.

If track timing holds true, most influences of Tropical Storm Gordon should lift out of the forecast area by sunset Wednesday.
