9/2 – Rob Knight’s “Labor Day” Morning Forecast
Dorian slows to a crawl over the northern Bahamas. Dorian will likely not be the only cyclone in the Atlantic very long as the tropical map this morning is heating up with respect to tropical cyclone activity. This is quite normal as we approach September 10th, the statistical time of most tropical activity.
The Mississippi gulf coast will find showers/t-storms this afternoon coupled with daytime heating. The main hazard will be strong possibly damaging winds. Heavy rainfall will accompany but all activity should move quite rapidly not allowing for any particular cell to stay over an area long.
The remainder of the workweek into the weekend will bring HOT temperatures but lower humidity from a NW wind should keep the oppressive heat out of the area.
