9/18 – Rob’s “Continued HOT” Tuesday Morning Forecast

No real changes to the ongoing forecast, so the very hot mid-summer temperatures will continue. There are some signs of summer finally giving way as at least one cold front will tease the area by the weekend. This front will stall north of the area but the second looks to make a visit by mid next week. From the way model solutions are handling this second front, it would definitely be obvious as temps in the upper 80s and lower 90s fall back to the 70s and dew point temperatures fall from the mid to upper 70s to the mid-50s. This is too far out to give any strong credibility at the moment.

Going into the first weekend of Autumn, temps should drop into the upper 80s as the heat indices will also fall back into the 90s.
