9/16 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
Boy was it a hot weekend. We had highs in the upper 90s for a few locations. This is the last week of Summer with the first day of Fall on Saturday. Unfortunately it will not feel like it. Highs will be in the lower 90s and heat index values in the lower 100s. Rain chances will remain fairly low throughout the week. Florence will finally start to move faster and eventually move out of the Carolinas the beginning of this week. The remnants of Isaac continue to look very unorganized in the Caribbean. This tropical wave will continue to move toward the Yucatan Peninsula and as it does so will have a very low chance of development. At this moment it still appears this system isn’t going to do much. We’ll keep a close eye on it though.
