9/1 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast

We start the week off hot, humid and low rain chances. By Tuesday things begin to dry out and heat up. Temperatures by midweek will climb into the mid 90s, but it should be a little drier, so heat index values should remain in the lower 100s. By this weekend things begin to return to normal as a front approaches and rain chances will elevate slightly Friday into Saturday. The front should bring slightly drier air by the weekend.

TROPICS: Dorian continues to head in the direction of Florida, but will eventually start to turn north. It’s not threat to the Gulf Coast. Three other areas in the tropics are being watched for development. At this time none are a threat to the United States. We’re keeping an eye on them though.
