8/9 – Rob Knight’s “OPPRESSIVE HEAT” Weekend Forecast

Expect isolated showers & t-storms this afternoon as the HEAT INDICES will be around 105 and possibly up to 107F.

The upper level high will slowly slide east of the Arklatex region by Saturday. Several disturbances will dive from north to south along the edges of the high creating a chance of storms early Saturday through the afternoon and Sunday afternoon but mainly over east zones. Heat index values will possibly approach and occasionally exceed 108 in a few spots

Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Heat advisories could be issued. The upper level high will continue to push east over the ArkLaMiss region suppressing most convection not all early next week and continued warm and muggy conditions.
