8/5 – Payton’s Sunday Night Forecast
After a very hot and humid weekend, that trend is going to continue into the start of the workweek. There could be a stray thunderstorm or two, but for the most part everyone will be dry. The rain chances remain fairly low throughout the first half of the week, but by Thursday more showers and thunderstorms are expected as the upper level ridge breaks down and moves west. Rain chances continue into the weekend with temperatures in the lower 90s.
TROPICS: There is a low chance a non-tropical low could develop into a subtropical/tropical system this week over the open Atlantic. It will not pose a threat to the United States.
