8/2 – Rob’s 1st Weekend Of August “Midday News” Forecast

The overall weather pattern will not change much over the next 7 days. What will likely be observed is slight variations in spatial and locational t-storms coverage. As strong tropical moisture moves into the region from the SE, we will be looking at a range of 40 to 60% each day through this weekend and into early next week.

The atmosphere is pretty typical for this time of year with instability values sub-severe. We could see 30+ mph gusts with stronger t-storms and brief heavy rainfall as a few t-storms could collapse rapidly.

Beyond typical 7 day forecast, will be monitoring wave way out in the Atlantic for its movement. Medium range models bring it into the Bahamas late next week in various degrees of development.
