8/15 – Jeff Vorick’s “Thunderstorms Early” Tuesday Evening Forecast
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the area ahead of an approaching cold front. Some heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and non-severe wind gusts of 30-40 MPH. Rain chances will fall off this evening as the front pushes through South Mississippi. Winds will shift to a northerly direction overnight and skies will begin to clear.
It will be refreshing out the door tomorrow with relatively mild temperatures and lower humidity. A few clouds from time to time can be expected for your Wednesday. However, the main difference is going to be somewhat hot temperatures feeling much more tolerable with less humidity.
The relief will be very short-lived as the heat and humidity make a return towards the end of the week. The main issue will again become the heat by the time we head towards Friday and the weekend. There is the possibility of rain chances as a tropical disturbance will transit the Gulf of Mexico.
