7/3 – Rob’s “Continued Hot” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Summer in full swing but cloud cover is helping for now. Cloud cover may be able to hang in again today if enough shower/t-storm activity can be generated near the coast. As the mid-level high to the west edges this way somewhat drier air will be introduced and a stronger cap keeping precip numbers quite low for Thursday and Friday and possibly even through the weekend. The high should slightly move back to the west by next week allowing for shower/t-storm to make their presence known again.

Downburst numbers are very low and stay that way until Monday and Tuesday of next week. So outside of a waterspout today, very little is expected in the way of severity. And this may be limited through the weekend as well. Stifling heat will affect the area Thursday through the weekend with the heat index between 100-115 degrees…this may warrant a HEAT ADVISORY Friday – Sunday.
