6/5 – Payton’s”Monday Midday News” Forecast

With the very tropical air mass still affecting the area…showers continue to build and move into the area…

After several weeks of a strong tropical air mass dominating the Gulf Coast…changes are ahead. A cold front moving through the mid-west will keep SLOPPY/WET conditions in the area through mid-week. As several impulses of energy moves along the Gulf Coast…periods of increased activity along with HEAVY RAIN can be expected. The 1st of these impulses will move through this afternoon, with another one overnight into tomorrow. Finally the cold front will begin to move through the area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning bringing changes.

The front will be to the south late morning Wednesday with some cloud coverage and light rain lingering through the afternoon. By Wednesday night into Thursday morning…a COOLER/DRIER air mass will move in providing for SUNNY skies and DRY CONDITIONS into the weekend.
