6/14 – Payton’s “Wednesday Midday News” Forecast
Another afternoon with popup showers and thunderstorms. The strongest storms will have lightning, heavy downpours and gusty winds. The high pressure that was to our northeast has moved slightly to the south, which has turned our winds out of the south, but the rain chances continue as we head into the weekend. However, they do start to decrease into the weekend and into Father’s Day as the high pressure moves closer to South Mississippi. Sunday looks to have the chance for some showers and thunderstorms, but there will also be sun throughout the day. Temperatures will be very warm in the upper 80s to low 90s for the remainder of the week with high humidity. Lows will be in the mid 70s each and everyday.
As we head into the beginning of next week rain chances drop off to a slight chance Monday and Tuesday, but A cold front could approach the area on Tuesday into Wednesday, which could give us better rain chances, but it’s still to far out to get into details.
