6/22 – Payton’s Friday Evening Forecast
It is hot and humid this evening with showers and thunderstorms to the north. A few of these could creep into the area, but for the most part everyone will be dry this evening.
Expect the warm and muggy conditions going into tonight, and tomorrow.
There may be just enough moisture and a push of surface outflow and cool pooling aloft to allow for some isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms to move or develop into the area for Saturday and Sunday, but rain chances will remain below 20 percent. The combination of heat and humidity will push heat index values up into the 100 to 105 degree range each afternoon. This will be the primary concern going into the weekend. Make sure if you’re outside you are taking breaks and staying in the shade as much as possible.
TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
