6/20 – Payton’s Thursday Morning Forecast

Waking up it is warm and muggy! A few downspours were on radar, but most were dry. The line of t-storms near McComb continue to weaken as they move toward South Mississippi. Today will be hot and humid with a low chance for a few t-storms. Heat index values will climb into the lower 100s and approach 108 in a few locations. Take it easy this afternoon if you have to be outside. Friday will be a copy and paste forecast from today and this continues into the weekend with even lower rain chances. By next week we see slightly drier air move in, but it’ll still be hot and humid with afternoon t-storms possible. No major changes to the weather pattern over the next seven days.

TROPICS: No tropical development is expected over the next five days.
