5/7 – Rob Knight’s Workweek Forecast

Warm and quiet weather will continue to be the rule throughout this week as high pressure remains the driving factor in the forecast. A dry cold front will move through the area this evening providing for a reinforcing shot of drier air to the region. High pressure should keep convection at bay this week and we will continue to carry no precipitation chances for the entire week. We will continue the trend of carrying afternoon highs on the upper end of guidance based on high sun angle, little cloud cover and no cooling convection.

This week should be the warmest week to date this year as temperatures should reach the mid to upper 80s…and some places north of teh Southern 6 could reach the lower 90s before the week is over. Guidance still points to late into the weekend or into early next week before the next appreciable rain chance sneaks its way into the forecast.
