5/7 – Jeff Vorick’s “Warm and Humid Pattern” Sunday Night Forecast
The weekend saw a tale of two days. Saturday brought a soggy scene while peeks of sunshine along with warm and humid conditions were around for your Sunday. For tonight, expect mild and muggy conditions with more in the way of cloud coverage. Patchy fog could develop in areas with light enough winds.
Monday will feature shower and thunderstorm chances. Isolated chances before noon become more scattered chances in the afternoon. There is the potential of a thunderstorm cluster moving across the Gulf Coast tomorrow. Rain chances are 50% for tomorrow. Tuesday brings the chance for more widespread coverage as a batch of thunderstorms could make it here again.
Low-end rain chances linger through the rest of the week as the warm and humid pattern will be persistent. At the moment, activity looks to be more in the way of pop-up thunderstorms for the second half of the week. Very warm temperatures will settle in with most spots potentially dealing with heat index values approaching or exceeding 90 degrees.
