5/28 – Payton’s Monday Night Forecast

All the showers we had this afternoon and evening have dissipated, as Alberto continues to move to the north into Alabama. An increase in subsidence throughout the
atmospheric column, a decrease in cloud development, and a
resultant decrease in convection is expected to occur tonight.

Tomorrow scattered showers and thunderstorms could affect portions of
the area, but the heaviest rain will remain off to the north and east.

Wednesday should see the band of increased moisture along the coast as southerly flow returns, but expect the typical afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The heaviest rain will continue to fall off to the north and east.
