5/14 – Jeff Vorick’s “Unsettled Start To Week” Sunday Night Forecast
This weekend featured hot temperatures and Sunday brought pop-up thunderstorms for some. For tonight, expect mild conditions and the humid airmass to continue. Some fog could set up in light patches. Hot temperatures will be back for tomorrow with upper-80s to low-90s on tap. Clouds will be on the partly cloudy spectrum.
Thunderstorms will pop up tomorrow afternoon and thanks to a front in the region, they could become scattered to numerous in coverage. Beginning around noon and carrying through the heating of the day, there are 50% chances of thunderstorms. Activity should wane after sunset but the pattern will be unsettled this week.
Tuesday will be much like tomorrow with pop-up thunderstorms. Coverage looks to become more widespread Wednesday as a front and low pressure system makes its approach. Rain chances will be highest in the afternoon but isolated rain chances could be around in the morning. Look for more dry time later in the week until another cold front could make it in for the weekend.
