4/17 – Rob’s Monday “Midday News” Forecast
Patchy fog from this morning has burned off leaving partly/mostly cloudy skies. Isolated showers have been moving in and will continue to do so as a cold front in northern Mississippi acts as a barrier. Warm, humid air moving in from the GOM will trigger isolated showers/t-storms this afternoon.
This very buoyant air mass will bring a 30% chance for showers/t-storms through this evening with low rain % through much of the workweek. As the Bermuda high-pressure begins to set-up, (the dominant factor through the Summer) BREEZY conditions will continue through the end of May.
The upcoming weekend will bring a cold front from the PAC NW which will elevate rain % quite a bit.
