4/6 – Payton’s Friday Afternoon Forecast
Throughout today southerly winds will increase along with moisture, and there is a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms. Clouds will also move in throughout the day. The best chances for showers and thunderstorms will be later tonight into Saturday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has placed areas north of I-10 in a Slight Risk for severe weather, and an Enhanced area for severe weather to our North. That is where most of the severe weather is expected to occur tonight. A line showers and thunderstorms will push through Saturday before lunchtime, but there could be lingering showers throughout much of the day. Going into Saturday night conditions will dry out. This will continue into Sunday before a warm front lifts north and increases rain chances Sunday night into Monday. Clearing is expected for the middle of next week.
