4/5 – Payton’s Friday Afternoon Forecast
Today will continue to feature passing showers and t-storms so keep the rain gear handy. A few t-storms could be strong with frequent lightning and gusty winds, but the best threat for severe weather is just off to the east. Saturday will be somewhat better with lower rain chances. It won’t be beautiful, but it will be drier. The best chance for rain will be in northern and central Mississippi. Sunday another strong storm system will increase the threat for severe weather Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. Stay tuned as we fine tune the forecast. Monday the storm system will bring more rain. By Tuesday we dry out and the sun returns. Much of next week looks to be dry and sunny with warm temperatures in the lower 80s!
