4/28 – Jeff’s “Weekend Thunderstorm Chances” Friday Night Forecast
Clouds will increase overnight and temperatures will remain mild for the start of your Saturday. A frontal system will be getting closer to our area beginning early tomorrow. Rain chances will begin to increase mid-morning as scattered thunderstorms can be expected on the edge of a thunderstorm complex. The best threat for strong thunderstorms with that complex of thunderstorms will be farther east of our area.
Coverage of showers and thunderstorms will be best along the cold front towards the evening timeframe Saturday. A strong thunderstorm or two cannot be ruled out with this but efficient rainmakers look to be the big concern. Rain chances will lower overnight Saturday into Sunday following the passage of the cold front. Expect warm and breezy conditions Sunday as skies will clear out. Next week will be quiet with the next potential weather maker arriving at the end of the week.
