4/28 – Jeff Vorick’s “Lovely Conditions” Friday Evening Forecast

Today shaped up to be a perfect spring day for South Mississippi. Warm temperatures will turn mild for this evening and overnight. Cloud coverage will increase as a system gets closer to our area tonight into tomorrow. The storm system will be in our area for your Saturday. Expect mostly cloudy skies and rain chances for tomorrow. There will be multiple windows/rounds of rain potential. However, overall rain potential is around 50% for signals not being overly glaring for a washout. There WILL be dry time much of tomorrow for any activities.

There is the potential for a batch of rain to move in tomorrow afternoon. However, the most impactful conditions will remain offshore and the band of strongest thunderstorms will move ashore east of here. Rain potential will peak in the evening as the cold front with the system will move in. There will be low-end rain potential before daybreak Sunday. But, skies will be mostly sunny and temperatures will be pleasant to close out the weekend. As for next week, expect a benign forecast through Wednesday/Thursday. A frontal system could be in the picture for the end of the week but it is too far out for specifics.
