4/24 – Jeff’s “Chilly” Monday Night Forecast

Cloud coverage has thinned tonight which will help temperatures fall. Temperatures will fall into the 50s across South Mississippi overnight with light northeasterly winds. Winds shift to southerly through the day tomorrow which will help temperatures and moisture rebound. Expect passing clouds tomorrow and temperatures in the 70s. Any rain would be very light sprinkles if it all does not evaporate.

A system will make its way towards our area later this week. Being in the warm and humid sector of the system will provide for a 20-30% chance of showers. Rain chances will be more elevated for Thursday. The low pressure and associated cold front will provide mechanisms for thunderstorms to fire up west of our area. Those will be in the picture for Thursday preceding the cold front that will dry our area out to end the week.
