4/11 – Payton’s Thursday Afternoon Forecast

Another gorgeous day with temperatures in the lower 80s to upper 70s on the coast and mid 80s inland. By this evening a few clouds move in and overnight more clouds move ahead of cold front. This front will stall north of the area on Friday. The heaviest rain and t-storms will remain to the north on Friday, but we could see a few showers. Saturday the clouds continue, but another storm system will bump up the rain chances. Saturday afternoon will feature plenty of dry periods, but there could be one or two showers or t-storms. By Saturday night a ling of t-storms is expected to move through the area. This could bring the threat for high winds, heavy rain and we can’t rule out isolated tornadoes. This line will move through overnight, so it’s important that you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts. A cellphone and weather radio are great things to wake you if a warning is issued for your area. Still three days away, so we will be tweaking and updating this forecast. Make sure to check back for updates. We dry out by Sunday evening and sunshine to start next week.
