4/10 – Payton’s Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Temperatures continue to climb this afternoon with highs running well above normal in the mid 80s! Thursday will be similar with a few clouds and warm temperatures. A cold front will approach Thursday night into Friday, but will stall out just to the north of the area. This will bring clouds and a few showers into the area Friday, but the best chance for heavy rain will remain to the north. Saturday a strong storm system will develop out west. By Saturday night into Sunday morning we will feel the effects of this. There is the potential for severe t-storms Saturday night into Sunday morning. While we are still days away it’s definitely something to watch, and it’s never too early to brush up on your severe weather plans. By Sunday afternoon most should start to dry out and we stay dry to start next week. Temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 70s through next week.
