3/16 – Rob’s “Friday Eve” Afternoon Forecast

After a FRIGID start this morning with several locations along the southern 6 right at freezing, the warm-up has begun. Mostly clear skies will continue with a few thin upper-level clouds moving across the region. High-pressure in N’tern Alabama will shape our forecast into the St. Patrick’s Day weekend…and with it moving to the Florida panhandle, the return flow will begin this afternoon from the GOM. This will bring a rapid warm-up to the area with overnight low temps a good 10-15 degrees warmer tonight.

Temps will rebound into the low/mid 70s tomorrow through the weekend into the 1st day of Spring. A weak cold front will move into the area late Saturday with a few showers possible; the system will begin to dissipate as it moves overhead.
