3/5 – Rob Knight’s “Freeze Warning” Tuesday Morning Forecast

Another cold day is in store for the area as temperatures will struggle to reach 50 degrees. Expect clear conditions today and tonight. Temperatures tonight will drop into the 20s across the northern portions of the forecast area and in the low to mid 30s across the southern portions. A Freeze Warning is in effect again for the same areas that were in the warning last night. The weather for the rest of the week is quiet. High pressure will move east of the area and winds will shift out of the south. This will allow temperatures to moderate and we should hit the 70s by the end of the week.

The pattern will crank up this weekend and into next week. Guidance points to another strong system moving through the eastern United States Saturday into Sunday. This system may bring another round of severe weather to the southeast US this weekend. I have kept the increased precipitation chances for the forecast area this weekend. Will have to monitor the potential for severe weather as the event draws closer. The pattern continues and another strong system looks to impact the area next Wednesday. There is plenty of time to hash out all details of these systems over the next few days.
