3/26 – Rob Knight’s “Warm & Humid” Weekend Forecast
A weak cold front overhead slowly moving east will continue to slow and stall to the east of the area. Today into the weekend will bring low rain chances with a few t-storms possible this afternoon.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along and north of I-10 on Saturday afternoon as another slow moving frontal boundary associated with the approaching mid/upper disturbance approaches and sags into our region. Higher chances of showers and a few thunderstorms are then expected on Sunday.
Another disturbance along the desert SW will finally eject east to northeast across the southern Plains to lower Mississippi valley Monday and Monday night…which will bring another chance of showers and thunderstorms. The dynamics and instability of this system will have to be monitored since it could produce some risk of strong to severe thunderstorms in our forecast area.
