3/19 – Rob’s “Friday-Eve” Afternoon Forecast

The area is under the influence of onshore flow in advance of a disturbance that is lifting through the central Plains States. The disturbance will bring a frontal zone into our forecast area Friday but loses impetus upon arrival. Above normal temperatures should be sufficient to induce a gulf breeze convergence zone this afternoon and again Friday. Above average temperatures will prevail through the weekend. Upper flow pattern flattens Sunday with some minor disturbances moving through the flow in spring fashion generally well north of the forecast area heading into Monday night and Tuesday. R

While it is way too early to hang a hat on it, currently indicated max temperatures for next Thursday are at or near record levels for the day.
