3/18 – Rob’s “Sunny & Dry” Workweek Forecast

Upper-level clouds will be on the increase through today with a dry front moving through the area tonight. Another reinforcing front will move through the area Wednesday night. There is a slight possibility of a shower with the front Wednesday night into Thursday morning. For the most part, all areas should stay dry through much of Saturday. These weak reinforcing boundaries will not even be capable of shifting wind direction to any great extent. Winds will begin to shift to more of an easterly component by Friday and moisture will begin to stream into the area for the weekend frontal system.

Models are in a great amount of disagreement at the moment about when and how strong this front will move through. There is some indication for the potential for SEVERE WEATHER this weekend but at the moment, this time frame is too far along to give any high confidence. But, as far as climatology is concerned, we are in severe weather season.
