In addition to the development of the town commons project, Gautier residents will see some more infrastructure in the near future.
Gautier Mayor Phil Torjusen discussed Ingalls and V.T. Halter getting new contracts which would bring in more jobs and housing.
Mayor Torjusen also tells News 25 a new residential development is in the works. A developer from Baton Rouge is looking to put a residential area in the City of Gautier made up of 332 homes. “Pretty nice homes, 1,600 square feet to 3,200. Average sales price is a little over $200,000. It’s going to probably end up adding about $75 million to the tax base in Gautier.”
