Poplarville comes from behind to win first playoff game 10-4 over Bay High

The Poplarville Hornets hosted the Bay High Tigers Friday night to begin their 2026 postseason campaign. The Tigers got ahead quickly with three runs scored in the top of the first, and the Hornets responded immediately with two runs in the bottom of the first. Bay would tack on one more in the fourth, but the Hornets had enough after that, scoring three runs in teh fourth and five runs in the fifth. 

Poplarville wins game one of the playoffs with a come from behind 10-4 win over Bay High.They’ll look to advance to the second round of playoffs while the Tigers will try to defend their home turf and split the series.
