02/11 Ryan’s “Moistening” Monday Evening Forecast

0

Our weekend was slightly drier and more sunny than the week before, but things are moistening quickly all over again. Our next weather maker is moving in quickly from the northwest, but until it passes the humidity will continue to rise. This has already led to the development of locally dense fog, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see dense fog advisories later on tonight. Light showers will begin by 4 AM, though the strongest convection isn’t expected in the Gulfport area until closer to 9 AM.

Severe weather isn’t expected at this time but a thunderstorm or two is certainly possible.

Cloud cover and scattered showers will continue through most of the afternoon, but breezy northerly winds will have the skies cleared by about 7 PM tomorrow night. We’ll enjoy these clear conditions for a few days before another, weaker boundary brings a slight chance of rain for Friday. Skies quickly clear and temperatures cool again for a gorgeous weekend, but the rain will move right back in as we begin next week.
