2/9 – Jeff’s “Warmer/Rain Chances” Mardi Gras Weekend Forecast
Cloudy skies remain this afternoon as an active subtropical jet stream continues across our region. Beyond that, there is a 20% or so chance of a passing shower today into this evening. Fog will be more of an issue overnight if sea fog can set up. This would linger across beachfront locations as usual.
Saturday brings a 30% chance of rain but expect mainly rain-free and mild conditions. Hit or miss showers will be about all you can expect. Dense fog will be an issue overnight Saturday into Sunday. There will be the potential for severe weather in the form of damaging winds and small hail.
Rain would arrive for the second half of Sunday. Lundi Gras will feature rain chances early before eventual improving and breezy conditions. Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day will be cool but rain-free.
