2/21 – Rob’s Mid-Week/Humid Forecast
A ridge of high pressure is currently centered north of the Bahamas and will remain there through most of this week. The west side of this high pressure extends into the Bay of Campeche, with coverage of rain/t-storms potential through the week. This will bring rain potential 70% in far northwestern zones to 40% along the MS coast. It appears most of the convection will not develop until later in the day but scattered showers are certainly possible this morning…with a few t-storms this afternoon.
A slight retreat of the stalled front to the NW is likely on Thursday with rain chances falling back into the 20-40% range Friday as the front retrogrades.
The front will finally push through the area Saturday night with slightly cooler temps Sunday through early next week as rain potential will stay elevated.
